The Botanical Wonders project revolves around the fascinating beauty of our natural world. Artist Marsha Wichers 'crossbreeds' her ceramic sculptures with various plant species using artificial intelligence. Through this process, she visualizes an infinite variety of hybrid species. But what is the role of AI in this? What it shows us does not actually exist. AI can only create and learn from the information we provide – photos of our nature and our art.

 

While we can enjoy the beautiful new creations, we must not forget that the world around us is the only real one, and it is unique.
